Founders' story
Futurail was founded in 2023 by three founders combining experience in autonomous driving, AI, mobility and company building. Today, they are bringing that experience to one of transportation’s next major transformations: autonomous trains.
Computer vision and AI researcher with more than 2,000 academic citations. Patrick specializes in deep learning, perception and motion prediction for autonomous systems. He holds a PhD from the Technical University of Munich.
Serial entrepreneur in robotics and autonomous driving. Alex led Tesla’s Autopilot team in Silicon Valley and later built Audi’s autonomous-driving organization from zero to more than 300 people as CTO. He graduated from École Polytechnique and MIT.
Mobility entrepreneur with experience scaling operations and bringing autonomous-driving technology to market. Max expanded e-scooter operations across Europe and led multi-million-euro autonomous-driving programs before founding Futurail. He holds an Executive MBA from IESE Business School.
